Beautiful Home – Mukesh Jain’s Rajasthani Theme abode in Chandigarh Among the array of modern contemporary houses, when one sees a traditional Rajasthani structure standing tall in city of Chandigarh, it surely catches eye. A dream of Mukesh Jain, who hails from Rajasthan wanted to create an abode that keeps him connected to his roots. Architect Kamlesh Mehta, sourced all the labour from different cities of Rajasthan. The frontal facade and entrance have been given a look of typical haveli. Intricate carvings on wall, windows and balcony with look of Jharokha’s takes one back to royalties of Rajasthan. What I particularly liked is the simplicity of wall decor with complimenting flooring design which shows an eye for detailing. The entrance to guest room highlights a classic Phad painting especially got done by artist of Bhilwara.
